(UN)HEARD: Alicia McIntyre

“This is not new. What’s new is police brutality being filmed every other day”.

Meet Alicia McIntyre, the Undergraduate Coordinator of the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Western University. She, herself, actually attended Western in the fall of 1988. In this episode, join our co-host Khalida Elsadati as she sits down with Alicia to discuss her experience at UWO as a black woman, police violence, anti-black racism, and the state of the world, today, in 2020.

This is the first episode of Iconocast for this semester’s theme, (UN)HEARD. This podcast is produced by ICONOCLAST Collective and Aisha Khan. It is co-hosted and jointly edited by Khalida Elsadati, Julia Albert, Eesha Sarfraz, and Hadi Kiani. The episode artwork is by Amina Ali.
